Best of BIOT

Webinars - web based symposiums

What is Best of BIOT?

The ACS Division of Biochemical Technology (BIOT) provides a series of live, web-based symposia based on the best presentations delivered at the most recent ACS national meeting. Each symposium in the series will contain between one and three of the best papers presented, and each symposium will last between sixty to ninety-minutes. A moderated question and answer session will follow.

The goal of the symposia series is to allow scientists and engineers to attend high quality presentations without travel expenses. We encourage sites to utilize conference and seminar rooms to allow as many people to attend as possible.

How do you sign up for a webinar?

E-mail announcements are sent to BIOT members providing information and links to the upcoming webinars. You can also view the "Webinars" page within this site to see an updated list of available webinars.

In order to "attend" a webinar, you must first click on the "Register" link within the advertisement. This will send you to the registration form within the www.acs.webex.com website. Then you must fill out necessary information on the form and click "Send". From here you will need to await the webinar coordinator's approval for registration. Either before approval or shortly after, you will be sent an e-mail with a PayPal link to submit payment. Please pay accordingly. If you are a professor and will be showing the presentation to your students, e-mail the webinar coordinator for a full scholarship. If approved, you will not be billed.
